It is really of prime importance to treat diabetes to avoid complications to other organs.

Dietary considerations are not even entertained!
Most will say that it goes without saying to optimize diet before considering a pharmaceutical approach!, but it is not what happens in reality!
For most patients it merely means 'doing everything in moderation'!
But with (pre)-diabetes, one needs a much stricter approach:
Stop ALL processed foods as close to 100% as possible!
Granted, it is more inconvenient than popping a pill, but it is common sense and much more likely to maintain health!
