I used to be stationed in Pearl Harbor and I had a couple of buddies who stole the surfer out of the sign. this was late 2003. Actually, I think that might have taken the entire sign.

Oh Man, I remember passing that sign on the way to getting garlic shrimp from the shrimp trucks out by Turtle Bay. man, my mouth is watering thinking about it. Makes me almost miss living there!

Im from Haleiwa. and I can remember the whole sign was stole a couple times...a reward was put up by the community and a couple of days later there was a tip that lead the poilce to the paineapple feilds b4 wahiawa where they found the sign.....im sure glad its back.... its funny cause my niece moved to cali and she took a pic of a sign just like that at santa cruz pier....
