  • If that motor is from a printer and it's not a stepper motor what exactly was that motors purpose in the printer?

Also, do you find when there is a draw (the cpu fan) connected to the motor that it's tougher to spin?

  • @enticed2zeitgeist when i destroyed that printer, i didn't see any stepper motors, usually they are regular DC motors, if a printer has a scanner built into it, the scan head's motor is a stepper.

that motor was used for was to move the print heads back and forth along the paper

PC fans only allow current to flow in one direction, if i spun it in the other way, the fan wouldn't spin

  • @hootergirlsrhot Thanks for the reply however I think you misinterpreted what I mean about the fan. Supposedly a generator (the motor in this case) spins very easily when there is no electrical draw on it (the fan in this case). So I was asking if you experienced this.

  • @enticed2zeitgeist oh no problem :) oh i see what you mean, i didn't feel much resistance from spinning it, but there was some

  • I will put it with a Elice arno eperto a fan of the brand split air conditioners decon then he generated 2.25vts am studying to take 12 volts and connect to an

  • the fuck is this???

when you find something new then post a video...

  • WOW!!!! I wanna get that to power New York City, pop. 8 million ppl.

  • take apart a washing machine. the motor on that sucker is powerful. a simple spin with just your hand can light up a bright lightbulb...good potential

  • You can get a motor like that from a big Printer ... i have 3 of them ...

  • i like the video energy is simple and energy is free ^^ kinda getz the point XD

  • HAHA I KNOW HOW TO MAKE THIS

  • @hootergirlsrhot Wow! I'm surprised even a small fan like that put's a noticeable resistance on the generator. I'd really like to construct a small scale windmill I can use for charging batteries and cell phones down at the lake. I was thinking about using a small dc motor like you've describe here for such a purpose.
