This is my start to finish video on every process of knife making in this video I started showing the ruff grinding portion of knife making which took me all together around 4 hours. This Is my first knife made out of a rasp so I have some stuff to learn but its going good so far this time I ground the blade at an angle with the 2 way grinder and then got precise lines on the sanding belt next video the knifes ruff shaping will be done

  • @Troutfisher16 Best thing to do i think is to call me at work tomorrow (205) 788-6385, 8:00 - 4:30 central standard time and remind me. i got alot of work to do. ill UPS you some 01 tool steel flat stock 3/16" X 1 1/2", ill cut you like a 10" peice (no charge) for you to try out and see if you like it. we stock them 3' long and there about 50$ each in the future. take care buddy!

  • hey man, you do nice work! ever though of using 01 tool steel insted of ann a file? would save you your valueable time and be easy. i work at Metal Supermarkets in Fairfield, al. we stock a little bit of 01 . just ordered some 3/16" X 1 1/2" and its in its softest state, they are 3' pecies. idk the cost might be more that you want to pay. but i can ship (UPS) you a sample peice if you like? im working of a facebook page for my company to make things easy.
