@mara235 Afghanistan has a very beautiful culture and at one point in time this was like the style but ever since all the war we've had for more then 35 years and with the Taliban banding women to wear and show there faces they had to wear chadaries which is like this big stupid thing that covers your hole face and body. and they banded a lot more things like music and kite flying a lot has changed.

These are lovely clothes, but aren't the Afghan women forbidden to wear them? I thought they must always be covered in a full burkha where no color or dress is seen.

Afghan clothes are the most beautiful and decent cultural clothing in all of the world, it's a big thing to say but it's a matter of fact! Thanks to Afghans Hindustani and 'Pakistani' wear clothese now! They used to be half-naked but thanks to Afghan salwar kameez they wear clothing and have the nerve to call it their own lol
