Basic mob trap 1k per hour

I just wanted to show off my new mob trap. I already had a small one which let me make all the TNT to dig the hole it's built in and to clear the rest of the land, but this one is bigger and a lot more efficient.

To find a spot with very few caves I used Cartograph G on cave mode, found here.

I like your mob spawner, but you do know 4 string in a 2 x 2 pattern makes wool.

@whowants2KN0W That's true, but I can get enough wool from just shearing sheep up on the lawn by hand. And spiders are just a pain to kill. They climb walls, leap all over the place, and I'm pretty sure they can swim against the current.

you should look up ethos lab he does cool things with mobs he has a spawning tutorial out and it will tell you about spawning watch the entire thing you will learn alot

@PortaPotamess I am familiar. My first small mob trap on this word that gave me the materials so I could clear out the area for this one was based on a lot of his work. I decided to go a different direction with the large scale trap though.
