I understand that Creative drivers and support is terrible and that is better for the industry don't depend of a company.. but neither with xaudio2, fmod, miles sound or dolby digital I had listen the effects quantity/quality that with X-Fi cards and EAX/OpenAL.

I wish the gun sounds and gun foley worked under EAX as well.

@Cooling23 Bad Company 2 doesn't have native EAX support, Battlefield 2 does have native EAX support.

Microsoft has destroyed EAX support in Windows Vista and Windows 7, games today sound like this now 2:12...By the way, Alchemy by Creative Labs is a software version of EAX to bring back EAX support in Vista-WIn 7, sadly its only a weak version of hardware EAX and the effects are very mediocre...I guess EAX is something great from the past now, I'm glad that I was able to enjoy it in many games, but that's over now.

what? im assuming your asking how this is possible. you need to have an audio card capable of this. even with that, you may need an extra program such as alchemy.

i'm using on board and there's quite abit of crackling when i use highly advanced environment settings, like "living room" and "club" it doesn't do it pretty much at all in "church" or "arena", my sound blaster audigy 2 zs crackled also, does yours crackle when you're listening to loud fast music?

something is wrong with either your system or setup. crackling is obviously not good.
