John's voice is sounding very strong here in this performance. I think my level of anger and bewilderment runs higher than my level of sadness concerning these two seperate tragedies, in that both cases were preventable, and that makes it a damn, damn shame. They all seriously still had so much to live for. John's music will continue to teach many generations to come........ LUCKY THEM!!

John's best song ever and I know the CHALLENGER crew would be moved by his sincere and honest storytelling of their dreams.

Beautiful song marvelously performed by one of my favorite musicians. John Denver work should be remembered forever as a great service for the human kind. Music saves lifes. ;)

@dwindstar57 Ditto, at Fiddler's Green, Denver '87. I'm a performer of JD's songs with my trio but this one still makes me cry, just like the thousands in that amphitheatre, that night.
RIP, John, may you enjoy your flight in the heavens, with the heros of Challenger....

John Denver is a legend of his own rite and the last to bestow such pure talent to the world. This is one of his most beautiful and touching songs. Something only John could do. God bless him.

I agree with you! there was some reason that he was just not meant to go to space. we don't understand these things, only God does.
