Can the blender for the Universal model be used on the Compact model? I have a Bosch Compact coming tomorrow but the 1 quart is just a little bit too small.

I've been using various Bosch machines 30 years, have a Universal but not this restyled Plus model. I've never found it necessary to pull the big bowl off to use the blender. Is there a reason to be required to remove it on this model?

@johnrk556 On the new model, the protection cap covering the motor (where the blender goes) needs to be placed over the gear (where the bowl goes) in order for the motor to operate - this will prevent any spills getting into the gear area
