What I didn't like about the movie is that the director made it too "Disney". In the original 1994 demo by Larson, for example, you hear a song where Mimi and Roger are having sex and she says "harder, harder, I need men"...Larson's Rent was way much darker than Broadway. I understand you can't be too explicit in commercial theater, but the movie was the opportunity of bringing back that harshness. But this director deleted the harsh parts!!
