dude this really inspires me as a 5month bassist it has been my struggle. I learn the song covers but that's the only thing I learn. But thanks dude now I'm trying to make bass grooves. you really inspired me thanks !

I hate to disappoint you but some musicians WANT to play covers. They're not inferior musicians. I used to have your attitude (Originals or GTFO) then I realized I was being an immature twat. I picked up some covers and work on some originals, can anyone do covers? Yes. Can anyone do covers well? No. It's up to the individual to play what they want, done or not, and a false sense of superiority only makes the community that much worse.

That's true... a friend and I are making a band next year and I am working on writing a bass line or song but I havnt done on yet

What if people can't write music? I've been called a good musician and I've been playing for a year. I still can't write a song(bass). But I can play like 25 different covers and some of them out there are hard as shit.
