Rev Peterson Rebukes Kevin Johnson @ St Pauls Baptist Church

9/21/08 PRESS CONFERENCE: Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson leads protest of Sacramento Mayoral candidate Kevin Johnson's church - St. Paul's Missionary Baptist.

The protest was a response to Kevin Johnson's hypocritical, flip-flopping statement's on Prop 8 (Marriage Protection Act). Johnson originally believed marriage was between a man and a woman, but now publicly repudiates the biblical definition of marriage (prop 8).

The God I serve is a God of self-determination. He did not create us to be robots, He intended for us to have free will to make decisions. Whether or not Prop 8 is passed or not, regardless of who supports it or not, God's Word will remain the same now and forever more. The accountability for the individual remains the same. I don't depend on my spiritual leader and especially not a politician to be my moral compass. The Bible instructs us to know and abide by the Word for ourself.

All of the people who are commenting and quoting the old testament do not understand. Jesus does forgive but only if you repent of your sins. It is very clear in the book of Romans that this is a sin that must be repented of and turned away from not encouraged. Please if you are going to quote the Bible read it first.
