Susan Boyle was a complete unkown from a small village in the UK. She simply never had the opportunity to show the world what she's got. It's not like she was making records the people didn't buy because of her looks. She came, she sang, we bought.

For so many years, the world denied Susan Boyle fame and fortune because she was plain. Catherine Zeta-Jones was admired for her beauty, but had little credibility as an artist . Both had considerable talents that were stifled because of her looks. I'm glad that both women finally had some vindication and validation. There is some justice in the world.
