from what I've seen. Ancient korean swords were single edged but were not curved blades. Koreans did not favour mounted combat thus did not have the need for a curved blade for mounted riders.

@centraltheorem2076 Korean swords of the later joseon period were nearly identical to Japanese swords. Many Chinese swords of the later ming dynasty also took on a similar shape.

This is not Kumdo.. Korean never do Kumdo with wearing Korean suit. We do Kumdo with wearing Japanese suit. This is other Korean sword skill.
