If I dont remember it wrong, that engine setup produces around 6000 shaft horsepower each, and the cruise speed is almost the same as a jet airliner, short of 800 km/h. For a lot less fuel than the jetliner consumes, that is.

i think saab 2000 is the best plane for short distances... it is very powerful and also very fast!!
