this is the way Charlie Chaplin (the composer) wanted the song done. If you listen to the words, it's a very sad song but if you "Smile" you erase the sadness and that is what charlie chaplin wanted. I LOVE THIS SONG.

I saw him being interviewed by Piers. What a NICE guy Harry is. He is so talented, so grateful for every little thing. I Like This Man. He is very dedicated to his home town. New Orleans must still be some town.

Well said. Good old Charlie Chaplin. He's tending to be forgotten these days, but he was a genius.

I like people who can bring something of themselves to this song and Harry does this. I like a sad and sentimental song, but there's nothing wrong with clicking our fingers every now and then. You know something, you can listen to Bennett, Cole, Connick et al. No need to choose. We really are blessed.

Michael did a great version of this song, it's on the album History, it's a sweet symphonic version with a big orchestra, this one by harry is great too.
