If the info below is true and this van is 20+K pounds... It's not going places!
In my country, a SH Transit (diesel) is starting at 4-5K EURO (Euro is a little lower in value than the pound) and with the crysis still here, I doubt even government will buy something like this in the near future (unless there's a fat commission involved).

@Airox2009 yes but can i remind you its a van not a car vans in britan anyway are workhorses not (if im carefull i'll do 70 miles to the gallon) so heres a word of advice get a proper diesel gusuling transit and enjoy it!!!!

right im from england and all i have to say is scrap the electric stuff and keep thee most amazing van on diesel because 1) i have one my self and youre right to say they are thee van to have in britan and my second point is this van was built by fords europe department so it will be hard for america to change to this van but i beg of you if youre looking for a new van in america the transit is the way to go because they ARE FAULTLESS AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN.
TRUST THEM AND FIND OUT YOURE SELF!!!

But it`s very cheaply made IMO. I compared it to a 96 Econoline and in terms of build quality and driving comfort it`s not even close to an Econoline. Gets better gas mileage tough than the Econoline.

I was going to correct you but you already noticed, it's a ford transit panel van. Well it's not it's a Smith Eddison panel van really. Transits are sold as "the backbone of Britain" they are THE van in Europe. You an get Standard Euro pallets in them with ease and the van is so well developed by now after so many years and versions. I hope America accepts it, they seem to have accepted the Mercedes Sprinter fairly well.

mate, its a van not a truck
My apologies ... I misspoke in the video. This is a Ford Transit, not a Transit Connect. (The Transit Connect is Ford's smaller van.)
