Boehner Details GOP Plan to Lower Gas Prices w/Glenn Beck

Boehner joined CNN's Glenn Beck to discuss high gas prices and Republicans' "American Energy Act": "The American Energy plan really does say we need to conserve more. We need biofuels. We need to develop alternative sources of energy. We need nuclear energy. And yes, we need to drill in America for more American-made energy in an environmentally friendly way. If we don't do all of the above, our energy security is threatened and when our energy security is threatened, our national security is threatened."

Republican Leader John Boehner told The Washington Post that he knew of "contact" between Foley and Congressional pages in the spring, but was unaware of their nature or content. Boehner maintains that he believes he informed Speaker Dennis Hastert, and that Hastert assured him it had been "taken care of." Boehner says that he was unaware of Foley's e-mails and instant messages until the messages were released to ABC News and other sources.
