That looked tough to get off.
But its worth knowing that some disc rotors are manufactured with threaded holes inbetween the lug bolt holes that allow you to screw a bolt into in order to prise off the stuck rotor.

cant get my front passenger side rotor off on my ford contour!. It seems all fords have this problem.

Where I work at there is only one option, get the plasma cutter out cutting the rotors up.Does not do damage to the wheel bearing and rotor replacement is done at the same time.I see spidle damage done doing it that way and a trip to the junk yard for another spindle

Talk about "built Ford tough"... I have a 94 Tempo and I can get the damn front rotors off.

i worked on m y1998 expedition and 3 hours could not get them off! i like this trick here but i got my rotors off in less then 2 min! i cut a slot on top of rotor about 1 " just above 1 of the studs then took an air hammer and the rotor cracked in half and fell off! i was like wow!!

That's another good one, nice and quick! It still amazes me the extent you have to go to get those things off.

I had the same problem w/ 1999 expedition. I replaced both hubs and rotors. Heating can do damage to hub ( I heated the heck out of them - Red hot). Ford was not thinking when installing at the factory. I also use light coating of high temp grease between rotors and hub. Back rotors came right off - no problem but had to replace everything except caliper and park brake cable. Thanks for the video.

We don't have an acetylene torch (yet) So we only use our propane torch.
My understanding is propane doesn't go over 700 f. So I think that keeps us safe from heat damage to an extent.
However, I know lots of people use their acetylene torches and you are right, the FIRST thing they all say is be careful of collateral damage to seals and what not.
Thanks for the repsonse
