I just bought a pair of these for $100 at Wal-Mart and they are actually GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at the ATN Viper night vision monocular, but that was $300 at least. These are exactly what I was looking for. It takes a little getting used to seeing with slightly magnified vision.
outside, I can see about 100ft no problem in long-distance mode.

NOTE: The red lights don't turn on unless you use long-distance mode. If you using them in close quarters, its completely invisible.

here is the main difference, these new updated version is more military design and they can't strap to your head, which can make your arms tired. The original pair look more like the kind Sam Fisher wears in the Splinter Cell series and you don't have to hold them up, but you can only see out of one eye.

I have read that you will be able to use this with glasses if you have small frames.
