John Rratzenber and the Alliance for American Manufacturing are holding town meetings across the country to support Made in America and American Manufacturing. One of the purposes is to inform people about our broken trade laws so they can ask political candidates what they are going to do to fix them and protect our jobs.

@squallsquallsquall,
"Free" trade is usually an illusion. There isn't free trade when it is illegal to own land in Mexico and China, but it is legal for Mexican monopolists and Communist Party leaders to own land in America. The trade policies inherently give foreigners from protectionists countries an advantage which ultimately compromises basic human rights; it promotes relatively totalitarian regimes and also gives them more influence.
There should only be free trade with good gov'ts.

@TheFlanker35 Please go take a basic course in economics, then re-evaluate. It's beause of protectionists like Ratzenberger that people starve - free trade makes everyone richer in the long run.

Come out of the fog Americans, Fair honest trade is the Patriotic way. Don’t be fooled by dishonest people and company's who are greedy and care only in the bottom line how rich they can become at any cost. In human dignity. For they are poor in spirit. They will at times give .00000000000000000000000000000000000001 of what they have to charity. Just to keep you quite. All along supporting slave wages abroad. And wanting us to work for less and less just for the rich can have more and more.

American people should stop buying things that are not made in America. Americans should also stop buying things from American companies which have moved to other countries. If we can't work in their companies, we shouldn't buy from their companies.

@squallsquallsquall,
The US has grown whenever it has had revenue based tariffs financing its economy and shrunk whenever it hasn't. Maybe when you're bankrupt and starving, you'll admit you're an idiot who doesn't deserve to live in a free country. You'll probably ask somebody like me for some money and a guy will offer you a job. You'll turn it down because you won't know what that is and then you'll just continue to starve until the only job available pays ten cents an hour.

Let's say 300,000,000 Americans each simply reallocated 1 dollar per day, spending 1 dollar less on foreign-made goods 1 dollar more on American-made goods. (That's $30 per month, per person, and it is not an extra $30 per month, but just where you spend it!) After a year, this would add up to $109,500,000,000. What could the real, productive American economy do with an extra $109.5 billion? How about 2,737,500 new jobs paying $40,000 per year?
