How long should it take from the time you see the crack to the time the trunk comes out the top?

@5Language Yw! I actually had 2 avocado seeds of which I didn't peel the skin off. They both rotted on me :(. It's all cool though, I have so many, already! Lol. Besides, it's a learning experience, too :).

Hello! Im growing two of them. One had the roots first another had the stem first. Is something wrong because the second one doesnt have any roots. What's the size when you can pot it? And what is the slime around/on the avocado in the water? Can it be taken off? Its winter in the center of Europe, Lithuania :)

@LuckyHumani Hi! It's interesting how one is growing without roots. I haven't had one do that to me. Consider yourself, lucky! :) Just give it time, the roots will grow eventually. You can pretty much plant the one with roots in soil once the roots/stem has come up. But for now, you should keep them indoors by the window as they do require sunlight(Indirect). Keep them away from direct sunlight for a year because they are too young to get too much sun and the leaves will burn. =)

This looks like such a fun thing to try. Next time I'm in a store I'll have to get an avacado and try this. I don't eat them but still this looks fun. I just recently bought my first baby ficus tree and I'm hoping it holds up. I haven't owned a real house plant in years so we'll see how things go. Great video and tutorial on how to grow avacado trees.

@hatpit Hi! Thanks for watching and the wonderful comment! Avocado can actually be a pretty cool plant to grow from seeds. The leaves gets really big and depending on the environment, the leaves can get pretty big even though it's still a small plant. Good luck and enjoy this new adventure of growing things! :)
