~UPDATE~
After some recent nudging, I have finally gotten around to release the source code for not only this, but the earlier prototype to this fighting game engine! You can download the .zip containing these two GMK projects at the following link: http://bit.ly/kY849m

This if what the readme.txt contains:
================================
The two GMK files included in this .zip are the source code use to make the video displayed in the following YouTube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOf7u80LMfA

The first .zip is actually an old version of this engine and the second one is the one shown in the video.

NOTE: These require GMK 7.0 Pro to run properly.

You may do whatever you want with it, but please do not sell it. If you do make a final product with it, whether it be
commercial work or otherwise, I'd appreciate some credit but I'm not going to require it.

Have fun!
================================

This is a short vid. I made of my fighting game engine I am making in Yoyogame's Gamemaker 7.0. It's not perfect, and I have a long way to go. The character is a sprite rip from Evoga's Rage of the Dragons game named Annie. This vid. was supposed to have music, but it didn't render for some reason...oh well. I plan on working on it at a later date and adding music and better editing; I'll probably replace this vid once I do that.

  • 1- Does it need Pro Edition?

    2- Can I Download it?

  • 1- Yes, it does require Pro Edition because of the use of image blending and certain particle effects.

    2- If you send me a message about what you had in mind, I could send you the current files if you are interested, as I haven't worked on this on some time and probably won't get back to it for awhile.

  • please y'all don't care about that dude he just needs a nice girlfriend.... by the way, can i help you with the development of this game? i'm pretty interested and i think i'm enough good with gm to program games like this ;D

  • Unfortunately, I've kinda put this project on hold. I'm been working with XNA a lot more recently and want to try getting this working on there eventually, but I've been developing much more simple, base procedures and learning C# before attempting something like this fighting game on it. Thank you for your interest though.

  • When you perform "Supers"(the moment the BG went blue with the character is holding a cat) it seems kind of distracting and its blantantly obvious that when you perform it, the opponent is going to block.

    Other than that, it looks good!
