Check out the Charterhouse (Pete's, Mike's, Ant's and Tony's alma mater) School Choir singing this number on The London Symphony with David Palmer's album, "Genesis, We Know What We Like," released during the Eighties. I'll say awesome and leave it at that.

Cold icy waters and no hope of getting footing.Undertow is very dangerous.Banks captures the razor sharp stones.

my icy blast was anxiety and this music was one hell of a warm embrace.

I had just broken up with my girlfriend when I heard this song when I was 17. I'm 51, and it still gets me. Love drumming to this song. What a classic! Genesis was one of the most powerful bands....than along came Duke. They had a way of writing depressing songs that gave you hope. Awesome.

Reminds 'Ripples' a little bit....pretty good, however !
Great refrain!
I agree....his vocals on this track were magical.....My God....such power and
emotion....Afterglow was yet another prime example....

This is Phil Collins with a bit of leftover Peter Gabriel in him. Phil was never better. Undertow is one of the greatest (yet most underrated) songs ever.
