  • Scared me o_o

  • @TheRiaBear I scared you? Good! LOL! As I have said to many previous commenters, that was my intention. The speaker is The Siren, the mythical Greek monster that would lure those who hear her deadly voice to her. You - as the listener - become her next victim! It's a great poem. Thank you for the comment, your friend invite for subscribing! Take care...

  • Well, it's a great poem, but the way it was recited really fucking scared me, lol.

  • @mussman717word LOL! Thank you so much for the great comment! I do take it as a compliment because that is precisely the reaction I wanted to achieve. "Siren Song" is itself the song of the Siren, the mythical Greek monster that would lure men to theri deaths with her song. And the reader - YOU - are her next victim! That exactly why I read it the way I did. Thanks again!

  • Im in an online Literature class and Im writing a paper (500 words) on comparing this poem to "Her Kind" by Anne Sexton... Have you read this Anne Sexton poem??? If so can you give me some ideas??? Im new to poetry and Im having a bit of trouble.

  • Hi... I appreciate your asking me for advice on approaching this project of yours... But, I'm not familiar with Anne Sexton's poetry. I will find and read and give you my opinion and in relation to Atwood's "Siren Song." Take care...
