This video will show you how to create a wet on wet wash. Washes are a basic necessity for any watercolor painting, and they are what the whole painting is made up of - small and large areas of color! Painting wet into wet is one way to avoid lines of demarcation that are created when painting wet on dry paper. Please rate, comment, and subscribe!

  • @blueguitar77 I appreciate that. I do want to make more videos, but I need to get a good camera because holding it myself and demonstrating techniques at the same time is not very good for the viewer as it's obviously really shaky... I need to have a friend help record since with a tripod it would be a stationary shot. But I have ideas, so I will try soon! I work 55 hrs per week so finding time is difficult...but I PROMISE I will make some before the the end of Jan, possibly sooner.

  • I wish you would show us the finished painting -I love what we can see so far here!

  • @SOpacugirl thanks for that, i have been working on some stuff.. i think i'm going to make a new one and go through what i am doing with that painting from drawing it to the finish, so that should be helpful, if there's anything in particular that you would like me to focus on let me know... i want to do some stuff using alternative techniques/making your own pigments.

  • You have to work on your filming skill. It's too shaky to watch.

  • i agree with you both but it was kind of hard to hold the camera and paint with one hand the entire time. i am surprised that i actually kept it within the lines. i am waiting for pbs to contact me with a contract offer and then i will be able to use both hands and then i can just be the next bob ross.

  • best tutorial i have seen- thanks!!! you made it very clear!!!!!!!

  • Thanks! It would be great to see more of your vids!

  • Great video! the explaining was very detailed and nice. I dont care if the camera was a little shaky, it was good that you taped very closely so we could see exactly how the paint reacted to different treatments.

    Thanks!

  • thanx!!!!

you should do the background you mentioned you were going to do!!
