@nktank84 Well, my dad joined the union in the 50s when every tradesman belonged to a union. He didn't have any choice. The union is dead, done, over with. It is as conceptually and ethically corrupt as just about ever other institution.

I really hope that guy use a walker because if not. I'D PUT HIM USING ONE!

@rrhynes You've obviously never walked a picket line and never will, so to try to explain to you the experience would be pointless but thanks for the comment.

@nktank84 I do know some of the Verizon people sure showed the world how pathetic and childish they were when they were protesting their plight. Cussing, yelling, intimidating and blocking traffic isn't respectable.

@nktank84 I am aware of the violence that certain companies used against men trying to unionize.....70 to 80 years ago. However, we don't live in those times and the men walking the picket line in this video don't face those threats. More importantly, the doucebag in this video is hardly someone my father would have respected. This entire video taints the respectability of a union line.

@FreedomLover1973 Exactly what are we doing to America? I'm a Union Boilermaker by the way, How exactly can a person be whiny and still be considered a thug? I bet ya blam outsourcing on unions eh? Even though most that go overseas are non-union jobs in the first place. I bet you blame everything bad in general on unions.lol.

@rrhynes You act like walking the picket line is a bad thing, but that's how Americans achieved the working conditions and standard of living. You should be thankful that so many men walked the line like these men are doing, not bashing them. Union men were much more often on the recieving end of the violence. You should try reading some history on what union men went through to get the things you take for granted every day.

@rrhynes My dad walked the picket line many times in the 70s and 80s, as did my grandpa, grandma, mom, and me (I was in her belly). They did it because they had to fight for every cent they got. THIS IS HOW WE GOT A 40 HOUR WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME AND SAFETY REGULATIONS!
My dad is in a walker, so disrespectful.

For labor unions to once again be effective, anyone in leadership should be required to work a full-time job and belong to the union they represent AND all union positions be unpaid with NO DUES COLLECTED from anyone. The millions of dollars unions suck out of their members is the primary motive instead of workers' interests.
