  • Is that a cream-colored necktie hanging from Larry Martin's chin, or is it something leftover dripping down from the days when Carroll Campbell was courting BMW and it was about to come into the Anderson area, which would have had the result of suppliers coming int an area close to Alice Mfg Co's mills? And those big, fat Alice paychecks keep going into LM's checking account, even after Alice closed 4 of their mills, at a loss of 2000 jobs, & not 1 Tier1 supplier has come to Pickens County.

  • @clays121

so its vote my way or the highway huh clays? Thats the kind of mentality thats created the monster that currently is our two party system. Anyone who actually cares about the senate is going to keep up with it and a database of votes is just going to be used for political reasons, NOT to inform the people. The people who want to be informed already are and the rest are blissfully ignorant.

  • To Hell with all the State House and State Senators who will not vote on records, I as a citizen of Aiken County, I'm truly insulted, and embarrassed by this government, It's time some new people step up to the plate to do what is right, for not only this state, but this entire country. Mr. Tom and Mr. Harvey based on this information, are the only 2 true representatives oft the people at this moment in time. Vote on record or go home, and don't come back.

  • The office doesn't exactly belong to the people, the senator is a representative of his county and is imbued with those people's interests. The problem with H3047 is that the data can and will be used by opposing political agendas for election reasons. The people already have the right and capability of keeping up with the proceedings of the senate its just that almost none do, currently including myself (though obviously not when I was a senate Page).

  • Talbert, very good video. Information is the currency of democracy. Hmmm, Harvey Peeler's point is well made. A round of applause for both, the honorable Tom Davis and the honorable Harvey Peeler.

  • Jakie Knotts is insulted. Give me a break. As a voter, a citizen and a resident of Lexington County I am insulted that a person representing my area doesn't feel he needs to vote out in the open for all constituents to see how he voted. The office he holds belongs to the people not to 1 person. I understand that is hard for the good old boys to grab a hold of. Too bad, this is a new SC. Imo, I have a right to know how he votes. Senators Davis and Peeler are heroes. The rest VOTE THEM OUT.
