Still it's a matter of personal choice.
I wear full gear when I go for a hard ride
BUT I live in Florida and Im definitely not
wearing gear when go for a ride by the beach
to check on the ladies as much as I can be
very sorry if something happens.
My personal choice, don't you have one?

skin on the asphalt it's their problem dude.

I had a friend bail his Yamaha Stryker, the only thing that kept him alive was his HELMET. his left leg was torn to hell, but he is alive today because when his head hit the pavement his helmet was there to keep with us. Be safe people

@henshooten lets put it short and sweet. The human body is not evolved to withstand the forces of moving at anything beyond 26 mph (since thats the world speed record for a human currently). The day we evolve secondary organs and have armorplated skin, then we can talk about not needing riding gear.

@OkamsRazer yeah i agree ,it may have been it would possibly sever the spinal cord or something like that ,they also did a section and stated if traveling at 160mph and your visor comes up it would easily break your neck ???? spose they had different ways to measure these forces that are are inaccurate compared to todays tech

@henshooten hmm...well a 10 mm really means 1 cm so a 1 cm x 1 cm pebble? at 160 mph? I would find it doubtful because the pebble would have to somehow be "in the air" for them to impact with it in the first place. That being said, if a pebble hit you at 160 mph (if it was sped up instead) it would definitely be possible to do some serious head trauma, sevever the neck? not likely, but you are definitely gonna be injured badly.
Had a friend hit the ground at 50mph with jeans, t shirt, Nikes, helmet and gloves.
His ass was raw hamburger, arms were tore the fuck up, had a hole in his ankle from the foot peg pounding through it and was out for 6 months from work.
ALL STUPID PEOPLE LISTEN: Put on some riding boots, a helmet, Jacket and gloves at the least! Stuntin or just out for a cruise, Shit happens quick!

@jumpforfakinjoy That's nothing. My brother in law got drunk while he was swimming, decided to go on a ride on his bike in trunks, while drunk and still wet. He made it a mile down the road, laid it out on a turn, ripped the skin off his shin to the bone leaving a gaping hole and a flap of skin hanging off his leg, with a piece of metal in his knee and he was skinned up horribly. Walked his bike the mile back started washing out the wound with a hose and casually asked who was driving to the ER.
