For Beyond 50's "Gardening" talks, watch a video interview with Roland Evans of Bountea. He is part of a long line of family gardeners from Ireland, going back to the 1890s. His brother John is famous for earning 9 Guinness Book of World Records for growing the largest vegetables. According to Roland, the secret is in the soil. He will talk about how to prepare your plantings from seeds for growing them organic and very big through revitalizing the soil using a compost tea of lots of micro-organisms. • Thank you for your questions. We suggest that you share the seeds with family and friends to encourage them to grow organically and make lots of pumpkin dishes with them. It's a great opportunity to build your community and be the talk of the neighborhood.

  • Thank you MegaRoute66. Your comment is very welcome. Please share any photos or video of what you've grown playing heavy metal music to your giant plants.

  • Thank you for sharing your comment. To all of our viewers, the giant vegetables are grown organically and the seeds are not genetically modified.
