Re-Volt is a racing game developed by Acclaim Entertainment and released in 1999 for a variety of platforms including Windows, Playstation, Nintendo 64 and Sega Dreamcast. Re-Volt has a unique idea, racing radio controlled cars. There are 28 cars and 14 tracks available (They're all awesome btw this is just the first track ;) including a stunt arena to roam around. The game is aiming to be as realistic as possible, while still maintaining a high speed and action. The game also features a variety of weapons pickable from "orange bolt" -like power-ups. Available for the player there is weapons like fireworks shooted towards other cars or a shooting star which when fired, flips every car wildly around it passes close by. As for the realism, water balloons bounce off walls, "turbo batteries" are reversed by the "electric interference" weapon (only if attempted to activate during the affection of the interference), and fireworks act realistically. The game also features a track editor to build your own tracks from a selection of track pieces. Additionally you can download custom cars and tracks from the internet, mainly from Re-Volt Zone Tracks. Altough Acclaim Entertainment is now defunct, fans continue to make cars and tracks for the game. Recently a source code of the game has been acquired by the fans and the game is now being actively updated and improved. Also a demo disc containing a stripped down version of Re-Volt was issued to beta testers of the original Xbox Live service prior to it's launch. Much to the disappointment of the fans, a more complete version was never released for Xbox.

At 1:50 I'm waiting for the other cars to cross by to show some of the weapons from the game. The stuttering sound seems to be a problem while playing on Windows Vista / 7. The game didn't even run for me until I patched it with the fan-made patch, or used the WolfR4 launcher for Re-Volt.

I may be making a montage video of this amazing game.

Also there is an unofficial patch released for Re-Volt being updated twice a month, check it out: http://rv12.zackattackgames.com/index.php

Also, a game named Re-Volt Overcharged is being developed with the Unreal Development Kit. I don't know what it's gonna be since I don't know about this stuff but there is already an alpha version downloadable featuring this track. You can't ride with cars though, only walk around with your gun. At least it has awesome graphics, as it runs on Unreal Engine anyway.
