@nietzschealive, The Prize is mostly about the history of the oil industry whereas peak oil is about the future. It is also a theory about future production that continues to be revised and rethought as new oil sources are found all over the world. Some say that the "peak" in oil production is more likely to come about as a result of a peak in demand for oil as we incorporate alternative fuels, way before limits on supply bring it about. I guess we'll see.
