HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius takes to the White House White Board to explain a new regulation that fleshes out the 'rate review' provision from the Affordable Care Act. Rate review, simply, is someone reviewing a health insurance company's proposal to raise premium rates to make sure the increase is justified.

  • @mihiryouthere612 Oh and I forgot to add that the "Bipartisan Commission" changed their mind and figured out "mind you after the bill was released" that this is going to break the government nearly in half.

These are a few fun vids to keep things simple

    It's worth your time.

  • There's a difference between deficit spending and debt. Currently SS and Medicare are sucking away at more than just the american tax-payer. Lets use the example of China. It takes China $100 Billion to fund its military. The interest alone on either one of these programs funds their governments military. What we might have in reserve isn't going to be for what you think. If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you've accomplished nothing.

    You're being misguided on purpose.

    Please think for yourself

  • Good video.

  • Thank you for sharing

  • It is in the interest of the state to keep the insurance company profitable and viable in the long run, as its citizens are counting on its existence to pay their medical bills.

  • Now you wanna back-pedal and pretend my argument was yours from the beginning. You were claiming that adequate care wouldn't be provided if premiums were lower because insurance providers wouldn't pay for it. In otherwords, you claimed the price paid to the insurer will effect the cost product.

  • @mihiryouthere612

I was sure if I plied you with enough rational thought you would come around. I'm disappointed that you still want to justify theft of earnings from the productive to maintain a sham of equality. Equal treatment under Law does not mean that those unwilling to produce get to reap the benefits from those who are willing and do produce.

  • @maskedphrogg Government CAN lower the cost TO THE CONSUMER for health care insurance. Not treatment cost. I haven't said anything about lowering the cost to treat a person. I am talking about lowering the cost for you or me or the next guy to buy a health insurance plan. The first way to do that is the loss ratio. What part of the loss ratio do you not understand? The second way is its newly received power of oversight to prevent, or change proposed rate hikes. Is that difficult for you to get?

  • @mihiryouthere612

Now you are arguing against your own initial claims.

Intermixed with some revision of posts I made that are still visible.

How long do you suppose you can get away with that kind of outright lie?

But don't take it hard, you could be a politician and rake in oodles of cash from PACs.

  • @mihiryouthere612

    I did no such thing.

You claimed gov would reduce *cost*

It does not and has no incentive to do so

That is the point you keep dancing around and refuse to admit.

Providers have costs. The price you pay is not commensurate with the costs entailed to provide the services you demand.

You want gov to lower your price even further for receiving services from those providers.

Good luck with that. Reduce the remuneration to Providers enough and they will refuse to provide at all.
