I think the real problem falls to both Republicans and Democrats blaming each other. Politics now just seem to be which party can get the most in office and pass the largest amount of their legislature. When what it really should be is both sides sit down and one asks the other "Ok, there's clearly something with what you're saying that I don't understand or don't support, so how about you explain it to me and convince me why you think you're way is right". But maybe I'm just too hopeful.
