Oh WOW..the "AR - sighting system", it is called diopter and is nothing you could not put on the AK. Look at Rk95. AK sights are good, you just need to get used to them. I know a few former NVA (east german army) soldiers. They got no problem with hitting mantargets up to 400m.

I am guessing you have owned neither rifle and speak entirely out of national pride? I like the AK. It has its advantages and disadvantages. The same goes for other platforms. My choice is the M1a/M14, but realize it also has pros and cans.

M14 is a good rifle. I like it, too. It is a rifle, that is what a rifle must be like. M14 was the last REAL military rifle from the US. Oh, and the STONER 63 system.
