Nice overview. The webcam you record with shows the light with the IR filter in place because it uses a CMOS lens, which because of the way they are designed, can detect Infrared light.

yes, blue filtered, Infrared filtered and regular strobe.. I just didn't know about the authenticity of it being so frail and plasticy lol

was yours metal or plastic? I got mine in plastic looking smaller than it should be so I don't know if it's authentic or not. There's a serial and everything. help?

the blue filter setting is for directional use. you point the marker towards your troops so then can see where you are. anybody looking from the side cannot (or theoretically shouldn't) see the flashes.
