One of many weekends I have spent digging for gold on the San Gabriel River but definitely one of the best!

oh charming digging up , destroying , damming up , digging holes creek bed . no regard to nature . people like you have this stream destroyed . no one has the right to destroy it . plus you need a permit from usfs , which i doubt you will get .

@lcalarea47 Since you have nothing better to do with your time than harrass people who pursue ligitimate hobbies, I will take a minute to respond. First, know what the hell you are talking about before you attempt to school me on my hobby. A dredging permit is issued by the Department of Fish and Game....NOT the USFS. Second, until the moratorium went into effect, I paid for one EVERY YEAR. Third, the section of the river I was working in was specifically authorized as a dredging area.

I happen to be in the military and have actually put myself in harms way many times to protect your right to be an asshole. This video was taken prior to the ban on suction dredging. You like to hike. I like to dig. If you have so much time on your hands that you have to spend it harrassing other people that are pursuing legitimate hobbies then you need to get a real job and a life. Don't bother trying to respond or post something else on my page. You are hereby BANNED......

@lcalarea47 - I'm an Environmentalist and a Gold Prospector myself. You might want to direct your energy towards the big offenders of the environment like corporations, developers, etc. Many Gold Miners enjoy the outdoors just as you do. If you would reconsider your thinking you would realize that Gold Miners, Environmentalist, River Rafters, Hunters, etc. all share a common love for the outdoors. The river moves the mercury & lead in the river which gold dredgers then vacuum up.
