Pete Rose make his record breaking hit on September 11, 1985. Hit 4192. Switch hitter Pete Rose conquered one of baseball's greatest records.

Owner Marge Schott presented Rose with a brand new Corvette, license plate 4192 of course.

The stadium erupted with emotion. Family of Pete Rose were there. Reds Fans count the day as one of the greatest their team ever saw.

The record was previously held by Ty Cobb.
