In the news today, "PC Harwood claims Ian Tomlinson was "almost inviting physical confrontation."

His testimony would be comical if it were not beyond a joke, having killed Ian Tomlinson. The SPG has been rebranded the TSG, just like Windscale was changed to Sellafield so that politicians can claim that, "There have been no serious releases of radioactivity in the history of SELLAFIELD," conveniently omitting to mention the catastrophic events which occurred before the name change.

It's actually about the racism in the SPG, remember NtNON was a topical programme. They were well known for unwarrented stop and search of black people in the 80s.

The joke is that the superior actually condones his behaviour by moving him to the Special Patrol Group (SPG). A notorious bunch of police racists in the 80s.
