I'm a Music Teacher in NY, but I landed a therapy job working with kids. I haven't had the opportunity to work with older folks but it looks like it is very rewarding.
THe elderly woman looks so cute singing along! I would love to do this sometime.

I work at a nursing home and I want to become a Music Therapist more than anything in the whole world. I've wanted to be a M.T. since I was about age 16 or 17. My grandma lives where I work. She's had Alzheimer's for 17 years now. I work on Alzheimer's units and not only have I seen music work with her but a lot of other residents too. Music has helped me with/through so much and I want to give back to people what music has done for me

I totally agree with the person who previously commented. I may not be a music therapy major, but I do like the idea of having more music therapists in assisted living facilities.
I can tell Mary loves to sing.

This video made me cry. I'm a music therapy major, and I just WISH my grandmother's assisted living facility had music therapy there. It upsets me that they don't. It's so beneficial!
