With a huge 20x optical zoom, the SX10 will win over those photographers who don't want the bulk of a dSLR but like the flexibility of different lens lengths. The electronic viewfinder and lacklustre LCD screen detract from the overall package though. (http://www.cnet.com.au/videos/reviews/digitalcameras/Canon-PowerShot-SX10-IS/video/22464722p-315587076m/)
its niceeeeeeeee:)

I bought this camera also. The zoom is excellent. I even have professional looking photos of the moon. But the Kodak 875 I have. which is 8 megapixels gives me a better crisper picture. The color produced by the kodak is untouchable by the canon especially in the daylight.

umm the LCD view finder is not "average at best", it was named "BEST in class" when compared to the 6 other most popluar super zoom cameras.
I think you need to do more research before you open that mouth.

"screams professional?" hahaha who wrote that?
I think zero professional photographers will be shot with this camera. Not even entry level SLR's are used professionally that often.
The SX10 has about half the dynamic range as ANY SLR digital, even entry level DSLRs. This means half the steps from 100% white to 100% black. Resulting in clipped highlights, and lowlights. But this is expected with such a TINY CCD sensor compared to WAY larger CMOS sensors in DSLRs.
