Most of this flooding here just south of Khon Kaen near the village of Gud Gwang is not because of rain, but from rain up north - To protect Bangkok they are trying to keep the water from flowing downstream. It is a loosing battle that has already claimed the ancient capital - major damage to historic buildings and loss of life.

  • wow ill be in kk in December hope i can fly into airport there.

  • @billbus12 Don't worry - this is south of the airport - the main city of Khon Kaen is very dry.

  • Khon Kaen !!!! really? T-T

  • @MrNutthanun Just south of KK - it's marked on the map data. As I mentioned in the description this is just a minor flood compared to what is happening down south - but part of the whole problem.
