The yacht "Nedax" was hit by a severe southerly squall on Wellington harbour on 12 March. The Wellington Pilot launch came to the rescue and towed us to sheltered waters. This video from onboard Nedax shows when the Pilot launch arrived at 1658 NZDT and the crew threw the tow rope across.

At this time the nearby Wellington airport observation was southerly 42 kt gusting 58 kt.
