17" LCD monitor repair by web7days

this 17" LCD monitor was fixed yesterday and spent me 5-6 hours, at last I decided to replace new controller board for my client, the monitor is now in good condition and much better than it was.

The light tubes are ok. and I do not consider this a total success (I should consider a failure) because I should have replaced all the capacitors if I have the ESR meter even if all the capacitors look fine or clean up the ribbon cable. the picture does not meet the standard and this is why it takes so long for me to desire to replace the controller card for my client.

My client is having vacation in new zealand. the charge for 17" monitor as usual and meet standard.

at the end of the day the monitor is now in prefect condition

Does anyone know how to disable the main menu bar from popping in and out of my monitor screen. In other words, the side of the monitor has buttons controlling brightness, contrast, etc... what's happening is the 'main menu' page just appears on the screen without me doing a thing, asking me to adjust the brightness. no matter what I press, it just keeps coming in and out. It's only 14 months old so the warranty is over. But this Co. doesn't care to help me. I need help, it's very frustrating

hey is it possible to change a bad vga cable that is intigrated into lcd to diffrent one?
