This is a video of me Marshaling out the last United Parcel Service 757 From Tucson international. As of February 14th the company pulled out and ceased large scale operations. I worked there for 2 years. Not that long in comparison to most people who have jobs. But it was long enough for me to become attached to it. I really do miss this plane. Its a shame to see it go. But perhaps one day it will come back. And when it does, I will be right there to guide him in.

  • are these still in service ?

  • @TheDannypayne The aircraft? yes they still fly them. Just not out of Tucson anymore.

  • Does all the air freight now leave out of PHX only?

  • @hawk4174 Yup. They do still however receive a 2 small charter aircraft in the morning. They then leave at night. Basically they replaced the 757 with 2 Ameriflight puddle jumpers.

  • I load/ unload in Louisville Ky at Worldport. The 75's are my fav because they are quick to load and unload! Im 6'3, so im not too thrilled about loading bellies though! I usually try to get in the uld or load the belt loader!!!! Hey, great marshalling job! I hope they decide to bring Tucson back to revenue flights! Maybe if the economy gets better!

  • @s98131182 yeah 75's were the best. We have had other types of aircraft and they were all a pain. Im about 6'2" and bellies were my favorite. It was easy. :P

I was the primary tug driver, marshaller and topside D. What i hated was when we would get a load of A1's that had to go on the plane. Course those dont fit, so we would have to transfer, FAST. And I sucked at transfers.

  • @s98131182 heheh i do the bellies too, it's hell on the ol' kneecaps. mental note: bring cushions for knees if unloading/loading by the belly doors :P

  • heheh interesting marshalling there, very militarish, wish i could do stuff like that BUT as said in previous comments, those kinds of shenanigans won't fly (pun intended) here d,-( btw i wingwalk for UPS here at LFT d.-)

  • during spring break, i was at st Petersburg - clearwater intl and there was a UPS 757 AND A300-600F. it was soooo cool.
