It is my final year of college and this DSP is my final project. It is based on ATMELs - ATmega128 with 128kB of external memory, I've used MAX195 as ADC and MAX542 as DAC. Sampling frequency is 24kHz. Both ADC and DAC are 16-bit. I didn't use any filters yet, because final sampling frequency will be even higher. As you can hear this DSP reproduce three effects: Reverb, Echo and delay. Each of these effect can be combined freely and all have separate on/off switch, volume control and time setting. Echo and Delay have maximum time up to 1s. Effects settings can be stored in one of fifty memory sockets. What do you think about the sound I think it sounds pretty good. Take a look at my next video where you can see it in action.

  • seriously you should make some kind of blog, report, whatever .. with description of algorithms, circuit etc. to make other people happy. just suggestion :) I have played with real DSPs processors but I just wonder this is possible with AVR ... good job!

  • Olá amigo, você poderia me passar o schematic desse projeto ?

  • Wonderful quality of sound. 10 out of 10. I am trying to make a digital mixer. This vid is helpful. Thanks!

  • nice project. any more information? i'm particularly interested in how the reverb works. a delay seems easy enough to do but i can't seem to get my head around how you would create a reverb. do you create multiple different length delays each time and then resample the output? or do you change the volume differently each time you resample? hmmm....

  • Nice job!

    Grat!
