@sisterlead02 I don't think so. Who is the comedian playing the sax. He was always a riot. Not sure who the blonde is but I don't think is Sommers. Hard to tell as the vid is not that clear. Thanks for this though. I like the Grateful Deads versions along with Aiko Aiko and Karen is one of my favroite vocalists.

Today's women think so much of themselves ,they are so full of themselves that it is enough to say that they are not smarter at all !
Humble people are the smartest ones. But women have no humility at all. They think they are godesses. Men are also to blame for that : they have put them on an artifiicial pedestal for so many decades and now they are at their feet instead of standing up and women have not the slightest respect for them any more.

I give Karen posthumous props for doing this great song in a different style, with a different rhythm, than Belafonte's version, which would have sounded silly. In the years since her passing,I fall more in love with her.R.I.P.!

Wow, this song was originally a calypso by "King Radio" from Trinidad. I had no idea she did a version of his song.

Wonderful and very truthful song. Karen Carpenter gives it a nice playful turn.
Great song, nice video montage too! BTW who is that girl Karen is dancing with in the opening sequence?

If I'm not wrong, she's Suzanne Somers.

Lovely video, and one of my favorite songs. I was going to make a video with the same song and video idea, but you beat me to it, Glay, and may I say you did a much better job than I would have. I love what you did with it!!!
