Because the only reason they have those beliefs is because it is spread like wildfire on anything from tv on sunday morning to our currency, to the people knocking on doors I could go on.. For instance people believe in islam because they grew up having it pounded into their brain.. The same person believing in islam would believe in Christ having grown up in the US.. Don't you see that? Everything you know is because of what you remember learning.. It's just most don't think.
If you don't see or have the mindset to realize that the propaganda of religion is separating our worlds population and causing fear/hate/death than I would say not only do you not care, you just down right don't know shit.. Why do you think there are commercials on tv? Because some idiots buy right into what is being sold.. The problem, of course, is people.. The smart people can easily manipulate the weak minded.. It happens every day.. Also what is the definition of a ghost?

Supposing "ghosts" are real, and that people are honest and don't tamper with footage or create hoaxes for their own personal agendas. Why can there not be a scientific explanation? just because something cannot be explained doesn't mean it can't be researched and proven with science.. faith and religion, however impede on the evolution of human discovery and leave us stuck in an ancient and primitive mentality..
