Sunderland Video Channel Presents: Fulwell Mill Sunderland.

Opened in 1808, Fulwell Mill in Sunderland cost Joseph Swan, a local shipbuilder, £900 to build.

It was a working mill of 5 floors until the 1950s, when it started to deteriate due to lack of maintainance.

Sunderland Council fitted 4 dummy sails in 1955, and in 1996, work started to restore the mill to it's full working condition with work being completed in 2001.
