Judy, (Mysteryglo) was asking about the software I have for the PC and so I show the results that can be obtained although this was done about 10 years ago! I'm sure the new software will be much better.

  • That's so interesting!! I'm with Kim, I had no idea there were programs for this!!Blessings, Ang

  • I know, It's amazing what you can get software for these day Ang. :)

  • I used to love to cross stitch. I haven't done it in years. I would love to do a picture of Bella (no surprise there, eh?)! I'm going to check these out! Thanks so much for sharing. That cross stitch of the kitten is gorgeous!

  • Oh, that would be wonderful Lori, Bella would make such a good subject it would work a treat!

  • The kitten cross stitch is gorgeous! Not liking the way Cross Stitch 7 did the colors, either. Is it much of a pain to tweak it? I used to do a lot of cross stitch, but my eyes are so bad now, it drives me nuts. lol

  • I'm not sure how I will get on now either as I now need glasses for everything, but I have a magnifying light that works well so will help, it's years since I've done any though. :)

  • I did find one for a mac and downloaded the trial version. I imported a picture of my first cat (who I lost) and it gave me a pattern with what looks like TONS of colors.. It is just amazing. It printed out on 7 sheets of paper I think. I may just have to try with something smaller first to see how it works.. LOL Thank you so much for this info! xoxo

  • Yes, from a distance they work really well. :)

  • Thank you. :)

  • Hi Chris, I have never done the kits, I just jumped straight into doing from photographs. It seemed to me like a sensible thing for software to do and I searched for it and found it so was really pleased. You print the charts out onto A4 paper and you can work one chart at a time, it gives you all of the little symbols for the different colours and I'm sure on this latest one you could probably even print the chart in colour to help. It's all very clever stuff. :)

  • and my first program is about 10 years old Liz! If I do it I will show you. :)

  • You are very welcome. Yes, I was really delighted with the outcome from photographs.

  • Search for PCStitch7 and I'm sure you will find it. :)
